Student Transportation

Busing

Pennsylvania state law provides that public school districts must transport students who live within their districts and who attend private, independent schools within 10 miles of the district border. Most of our Pennsylvania families avail themselves of this busing option. We receive buses from the following districts: Bensalem, Bristol Township, Centennial, Central Bucks, Council Rock, Neshaminy, New Hope/Solebury, and Pennsbury.

Some districts require proof of residency to establish service. School districts will not permit students from other districts to ride on their buses.  Additional information may be obtained through the school office.

Pre-kindergarten students are ineligible for busing.

Carpool

New Jersey students and students from districts that have no public school buses come to school by carpool. Also, many parents choose carpooling over busing for personal reasons.  Newtown Friends School is happy to provide information to help parents set up carpools.
The following school districts provide transportation for Newtown Friends School students:

The Philadelphia School District reimburses its residents for gas and mileage cost, but bus service is not available.
