Inclusion in the Early Years: Why, What, and How

On Monday, January 24th, the entire Lower School teaching staff, attended a one-day inclusion workshop for teachers and administrators of students in grades Kindergarten through 3rd, given by Rosetta Lee via the Center For Spiritual and Ethical Education. This workshop discussed age appropriate ways to develop intentionally inclusive and identity conscious children. Participants were able to share their own best practices, hear from others, and engage in collaborative work time for reducing bias back in their own schools. The session was full of lesson and activity ideas for tackling these topics with the littlest of learners in an age-appropriate fashion.
