The Annual Fund is our most important fundraising priority, providing funds that support the current operations of Newtown Friends School. Gifts to the Annual Fund ensure quality instruction, provide support for classroom materials, technology and library resources, and tuition assistance for deserving students. Support at all levels from parents, grandparents, alumni parents, alumni, faculty, staff and friends is vital to balance our operating budget each year and is greatly appreciated.
Gifts in support of the recently completed Endowment Campaign “Sustaining Partners in Education” provided a permanent source of funds for employee compensation and tuition assistance. We are grateful to the many members of the NFS community who responded so generously to this special campaign that will ensure a stable financial future for the school. Newtown Friends School welcomes gifts of appreciated securities. You may avoid capital gains tax and take a charitable deduction for the full value of the stock. For instructions on how to make a stock gift, please contact the Advancement Office at 215-968-2225.
Many corporations match the charitable gifts of their employees, the spouses of employees and retired employees. If your employer participates in a matching gift program, your contributions can be doubled or even tripled. Donors need to return their completed form with their gift to the Advancement Office to initiate the matching gift process.
Planned gifts are designed to help donors enhance their tax planning, investment objectives and retirement needs while ensuring the future of Newtown Friends School. The most familiar way to make a planned gift is through a charitable bequest in your will. A Charitable Gift Annuity is a simple and popular way to make a gift to NFS that pays you income for life. The Circle of Friends, Newtown Friends School’s planned-giving society, recognizes and honors all those who have included NFS in their long-term financial and estate plans, through a bequest provision in their will, by establishing a life-income gift, or through another form of deferred or planned gift.
Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC)
