The Diversity Committee invites all NFS families to its first Round Table discussion of the year. Parents and Upper School students are invited to come and share in an hour of getting to know one another, celebrating our diversity (of all sorts), and deepening our ties as a community.
This event will be held in the auditorium from 6:30 to 7:30, and childcare will be available for NFS Lower School students.
Former Head of School, Steve Nierenberg participated in a challenging 100 mile bike ride through New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine on Saturday, September 21st in support of NFS! Congratulations and thank you to Steve and his cycling team on completing the ride with a time of 6:07:26 and an average speed of 16.7 mph.
Donations have been designated to the Steve Nierenberg Fund for Professional Development which was established in 2009 upon his retirement from NFS, to attract and retain excellent faculty and staff at Newtown Friends School. Contributions are still welcome. Click here to make your gift!
We are pleased to announce that Newtown Friends School has been approved as a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Program (MYP). This important moment in school history allows us to apply for membership in the most prominent and successful international secondary educational organization in the world.
