Gymnasium Project Completed

Newtown Friends School has a beautiful, regulation-size gymnasium that is in daily use for gatherings, assemblies, events, physical education classes, after school activities, sports team practices and games, and rentals to local organizations. It is a place where students, faculty and staff, and the entire school community join together for school traditions, celebrations, meetings, activities and so much more.
Through a generous grant from the SNAVE Foundation and a generous matching gift from Tom and Angella Bock P’21, ’19, the installation of a new HVAC system was completed over the summer of 2021. The addition of air conditioning has been a significant improvement to this essential area of school life. Newtown Friends School now offers year-round use for a variety of programs that improve our students’ experience and that expand opportunities for summer camps, rentals and community events.
