  • Lower School Associate Teacher

    The Lower School is seeking dynamic candidates to serve in a part-time role as an Associate Teacher for Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade.  Applicants should have experience working with elementary aged children. Duties of an associate teacher include but are not limited to supporting the classroom teacher with instruction, teaching individuals and small groups, preparing instructional materials, supervising students during non-academic times, attending meetings as needed, and attending school functions.
     
    Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. The successful candidate will have excellent rapport with and knowledge of elementary students and enjoy working with them in a variety of school activities.  Candidates should have an openness to collaborating and working with a lead teacher. They should have an interest in supporting students' development of the necessary academic, social, and attitudinal skills to achieve 21st-Century leadership.   Familiarity with Quaker education is a plus.

  • Substitute Teachers

    Newtown Friends School is looking for educators or professionals who have experience working in a school to serve as substitute teachers on a per diem basis, as needed.
